Terms and Conditions

Pet Behaviour

TrimPet reserve the right to refuse to groom aggressive dogs with behavioural problems. The owner must inform the groomer if their dog has a history of aggression of biting.

The owner understands that in the case of biting or injury from the dog, the owner will be legally liable.

If TrimPet groomers are unable to complete a groom due to aggressive behaviour or injury (to pet or groomer), the owner agrees to pay for any work carried out to that point.

Matted Fur and Wire Coated Breeds

In cases of excessive matting, the owner must ensure this is noted during the booking of the groom. If a note is not left, the groomer has the right to refuse to groom the pet as no extra time has been made for de-matting grooming.

If your pet has severe matting, the groomer may need to remove the coat by shaving with clippers. Shaving may cause skin irritation or skin nicks from the close shaving. The groomer will not carry this out unless agreed by the owner. However, once agreed, TrimPet is not responsible for any affect the shaving may have once the grooming session is complete.

For wire coated dog breeds, the client must specify if they are to be clipped or hand stripped. If it is the dogs first time being clipped on a wire coat, this can potentially damage their coat and they will have to be clipped from them onwards, TrimPet is not responsible for any damage to the coat after the client has agreed their grooming preference. TrimPet groomers are also not responsible for dogs that must be clipped due to being clipped by a previous groomer.

Pet Wellbeing

TrimPet Groomers will notify the owner of any health issues they find, it is the owners’ responsibility to seek veterinary advice. We are not medical professionals and grooming sessions do not replace the need for vet check-ups, advice and treatments.

In the case of any parasites, such as fleas and ticks, being found during the grooming session, the client agrees for the groomer to use an anti-parasite shampoo.

If the pet’s health causes concern, the client authorises TrimPet Groomers to obtain veterinary treatment at the clients’ expense.

By booking with TrimPet, the client confirms their pet is fit and healthy, or otherwise they have informed the groomer of any health conditions and all details provided are correct. The client agrees that TrimPet groomers will not be held responsible for irritation, abrasion, patchiness, or hair loss due to any pre-existing skin conditions or as a result of the process of grooming, thinning, stripping, shaving or de-matting caused by non-disclosure of the pet’s medical condition or behaviour.
